Although today with the persistent light rain is not one for contemplating a walk through Rye Meadows, from Friday 11th September through to Sunday 20th September, the fields will be open to the public from 10am to 4pm for Heritage Open Days. Please keep to the mown paths and if walking the dog, please do pick up after it and deposit the bag in the bins at Preston Grove, Bushey Shaw or the Wood Field.

On Sunday 20th, the volunteers and Surrey Wildlife Trust will be manning our gazebo on the footpath from Fairholme Crescent. We will be pleased to answer questions, and we will have on sale our two books, "Restoring the Great Marsh" and "The Birds of Ashtead Rye Meadows" - priced at £10 and £2.50 respectively.
