A programme of work in Rye Meadows Wetlands has now been drawn up and there are volunteering opportunities to work over the coming weeks.

We will be holding volunteer days on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. We will confirm working days by email to those Friends and Volunteers registered with us, but if you haven't registered your interest and you'd like some hard labour in the fresh air do let us know by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

To volunteer to help with Rye Meadows please contact us via This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. It would help to have your full name and address, plus your email address and contact telephone number. If you have any particular skills over and above the ability to work hard please let us know!

When coming to volunteer, it is recommended that your wear old clothes, gloves and stout footwear and have an up to date tetanus vaccination.

The Lower Mole Project's website has various bits of helpful information. In addition they have published a health and safety leaflet for prospective volunteers and visitors to read. This is available via this link.
