ASHTEAD COMMON VOLUNTEERS HELP THE RYE BROOK RESTORATION PROJECT
During the four weeks in August Ashtead Common Volunteers are coming to the Rye Meadows to help construct a new opening in the hedgerow to allow a new access to a field where we will be constructing a new barn. This will involve moving some 30 tons of hard core to create a base. Water and Electricity will then be provided on site to make a superb base of operations for the future. This is a "holiday" for them from the Common.
Rye Meadows Volunteers are welcome to join in with the CoL volunteers and should report to James Irvine on the Bushey Shaw footpath at 10am on the 4 Thursdays.
We are very grateful for their assistance as much can be achieved by this strong workforce in the 4 weeks they are with us.
